Evaluates the occurrence of algal toxins in North American water sources. Investigates correlations or lack thereof between toxin occurrence and taste and odor episodes. Develops guidance for monitoring algal toxins and recommendations for responding to potential safety concerns. Research partner: EPA. Published in 2001.
